I value yoga for many reasons but the one that I enjoy most is the difference it has made in my golf game. I play several times each week and, at age 73, have found that yoga adds significantly to the length of my drives. For anyone who enjoys golf and wants to improve their game, yoga will bring significant advantages. With increased flexibility and improved well being, I am sure that I am ill far less (rarely, if ever) and enjoy playing on a par with much younger players thanks to my increased stamina and flexibility. One of my long-time friends, a physical therapist, noted after not seeing me for several years, that my posture has improved unbelievably. I also find that yoga is a wonderful activity to share with my wife. We think of it as a gift we give ourselves and each other each day. If we can keep ourselves healthier we will enjoy our lives more and have far less burdens that typically come with aging and loss of good health.
